I pieced these quilts and then had my first and second grade students tie the quilts. They enjoyed "sewing" on these quilts as well as reading books about quilts. These lap-sized quilts were sent to the "Ronald McDonald House" in Syracuse, NY. The children also wrote encouraging notes to be included with their favorite quilt. It is a project I have completed in my classroom for 6 years.
