Some of my Older Quilts

View From the Yellow Submarine
completed July 1992
machine pieced, machine quilted

Inspired by a lecture by Marilyn Doheny.  This one of the few quilts that I have kept for myself.

Laura and Heddi's Friendship Quilt
completed August 1994
machine pieced, machine quilted

This quilt was a collaboration with my friend Laura who lived several hundred miles away.  With each letter, we would send a piece of fabric and a pattern.  The other person would make two blocks from the pattern and fabric-- one to keep and one to send to the other person.  The border has quotes about friendship rubber stamped on it.

Under Sea, Over Sand
completed January 1995
machine pieced, machine quilted

The center scenes are from a preprinted fabric.  The border has dolphins in metallic blue thread quilted all around it.  The back of the quilt is a sand fabric with sea shells scattered across it, thus the title.

Penguin Quilt
completed March 1995
machine pieced, machine quilted

A commissioned piece made for my boss' sister who loved penguins. Based on a pattern from the book Patchwork Quilts to Make for Children by Margaret Rolfe.

Dreams and Illusions
completed November 1995
machine pieced, machine quilted

Made for a friend for his birthday.  The border fabric is this really cute piece with teddy bears in Renaissance costumes.  He performs in many Renaissance fairs, so the fabric is appropriate!

ABC Quilt
completed June 1996
machine pieced, machine quilted

Made for a close friend when she had her second child.  My first unplanned and randomly pieced quilt.  (Unfortunately I don't have a single picture scanned in of it, only a two parter!)

Erik's Quilt
completed December 1997
machine pieced, machine quilted

This quilt was foundation pieced and completed for my friend Erik who took pictures at my wedding.
