Linda's Fifty States Project

Linda writes:

"I have also made several quilts with my class at school, a 5th grade special education class. Our most memorable one also involved the 50 states.

"We used quilting magazines and wrote to addresses of quilters from each state requesting that they send us a 12 inch completed block. We recieved enough to make a full size quilt which I pieced and rough quilted in the sashings.

"The quilt was then put in a frame in our room. We invited people to come and help us quilt. It was lots of fun and we gave the quilt to one of the students through a raffle after completion. It was a fun project for us involving language arts, social studies, and math."
